For mild mouth ulcers, a visit to the family doctor isn’t usually required for a diagnosis. In most cases, the ulcer should be clearly visible in your child’s mouth or on their lips. However, if your little one is getting mouth ulcers on a regular basis, or has a mouth ulcer that has lasted for longer than three weeks, visiting either your family doctor or your dentist is recommended.
