Frequently Asked Questions

CALPROFEN® contains ibuprofen – it does not contain paracetamol.

CALPOL® Infant Suspension can be given alongside CALGEL® Teething Gel to provide additional relief from teething pain.

CALPOL® Infant Suspension can be used in babies from 2 months, provided they weigh at least 4kg and were not born prematurely (before 37 weeks). If your child was born prematurely, speak to a healthcare professional for advice.

At present we are not sending out individual syringes to consumers, as we do not produce any in addition to those put in the carton with CALPOL® Suspension bottles.

In 2011, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) issued a letter stating that a special spoon or syringe will be supplied with the liquid paracetamol product to ensure it is measured accurately. Do not use any other spoon or device to measure the product.

The accurate dosing of paracetamol is extremely important to reduce the risk of inadvertent overdose.
